Rosseau, age 92, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility. He was born on October 10, 1926 in Iron River, MI, the son of the late Emil and Teresa (Rock) Rosseau. He attended and graduated from Iron River High School, with the Class of 1944.

He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII. Howard married the former Anne L. Bunno on November 10, 1956 at the former Assumption Church of Iron River. They were lifelong residents of the area and celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in 2018.

He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 34 years. Howard previously worked as a sawyer at Wenos Lumber Company in Iron River. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and a life member of the American Legion Alfred Branchini Post #17.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, reading, walking, and working on his daily projects. Howard is survived by his wife, Anne; sons, David (Ruth) Rosseau of Eagan, MN, and Michael (Lisa) Rosseau of Luxemburg, WI; daughter, Sally (Greg) Bilski of Henderson, NV; brother, William (Diana) Rosseau of Arvada, CO; sister, Katherine Bortolameolli of Caspian, MI; grandchildren, Katie (Frank) Houle, Kyle (Jessica) Rosseau, Nicholas, Derek and Troy Rosseau; step granddaughter, Kelsey (Brett) Larson; and four great grandchildren; extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Oliver Rosseau.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.

The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites after the service. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association at 208 S. LaSalle St. Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60604-1242 and St. Agnes Catholic Church at 702 N. 4th Ave.
