Obituary for Howard Taylor Howard Taylor 74, Nickelsville VA Howard Taylor went to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Howard was born on April 30, 1944 in Scott County, Virginia to the late Noah Taylor and Thelma (McConnell) Taylor. In addition to his parents his sisters Sallie Nash, Hannah Dean, and brother Charles “Bill” Taylor proceeded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Belinda Taylor; daughters, Tammy Susan Taylor, Tracy Taylor Marshall; son, Brian William Taylor; grandchildren, Sarah and Seth Marshall, Wade, Zane and Nathan Taylor; sisters Hazel Dingus, Zelda Fish (Lowell), Edith Dean (Lawrence), Barbara Hill (Tyler Lane); brothers, Carl Taylor (Irene), Ed “Saucer” Taylor (Carol) ,and Frank Taylor (Debbie); several nieces and nephews; also many friends at Molls Creek Church, Meade’s Chapel, and other area churches. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Thursday November 29, 2018 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the Gate City Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Henry Wayne Meade, and Doug Trent will be officiating.

David and Debbie Easterling will be providing the music. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday November 30, 2018 at Taylor-Bays Cemetery, Nickelsville Virginia. Chip Vance, Jacob Vance, Joey Cassell, Levi Cassell, Seth Marshall, and David Easterling will serve as pallbearers.

Zane Taylor, Wade Taylor, Nathan Taylor, and his preacher friends will serve as honorary pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go into procession to the graveside service. An online guest register is available for the Taylor family at www.
