Hugh Jasper Sacco, Sr. “One Quality, the Very Best” July 23, 1941 ~ October 4, 2018 Our wonderful dad, Hugh Jasper Sacco, age 77, passed away on October 4, 2018 at home in Uintah, Utah surrounded by his children and family after complications from appendectomy surgery. He joined our sweet mom in heaven. Dad was born on July 23, 1941, in Ogden, Utah to Carlo and Hugenia Sacco of Uintah.

He graduated from Weber High, Class of ‘59. Dad married his one and only sweetheart, our mom, Sheran Mathie on October 2, 1959 and they were later sealed together on March 28, 1990 in the Ogden LDS Temple. They were married for fifty-four years.

Dad worked hard all his life. He was the proud owner of Sacco’s Produce and Sunshine Produce (back in the day). He retired from Valley Nursery in Uintah, where he managed the Annuals Department for 20 years.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an honorary Eagle Scout. He enjoyed the outdoors.

He shared his knowledge and time with family and friends. Our dad took all of us on amazing hunting and fishing trips. These expeditions provided us with stories of adventure that we share with our children today.

Dad’s Eagle Scout training helped us to survive the fun. Carrying on the Sacco name and traditions are his four children, Hugh, Jr. (Wendy) Sacco, Hooper; Connie Sacco Lewis, Uintah; Mark (Tammy) Sacco, Farr West and Christoper (Monica) Sacco, Morgan; six awesome grandchildren and their spouses; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Carlo, Dominic and Rick; and sisters, Carla Jean, Catana, Diana and Bernadette. He is preceded in death by our mom, Sheran; his mother and father; mom’s parents; and his favorite cousin, Ned Sacco.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Uintah 1st Ward Chapel, 6660 South 1775 East. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and on Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Uintah City Cemetery. We share with you all our father’s famous sayings: Hello, it’s your dad. Love ya too.

Lock the door. A short visit is a good visit. Okee Dokee.

Pull my finger. Keep smellin’, I mean smilin’, and his never ending last words- Toot-a-loo. Condolences may be shared at: www.
