Virginia Neville Green August 3, 1924 – November 27, 2018 Virginia Neville Green, age 94, passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 3, 1924, in Bountiful, Utah, to Octavia Call and John Edward Neville. She graduated from Davis High School.

Virginia married Elbert Eldon Green on May 1, 1946, in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They made their home in Layton. Eldon passed away on June 18, 1987.

We all have a birth date. We will all die one day. That fact is often reflected in two dates separated by a dash.

That small dash may seem insignificant. But it is really the most important part of who we are. It is how we lived our life.

It is how we spent the time between birth and death. How did Virginia spend her dash? She spent it loving and caring for us.

She spent it serving others before herself. We know she spent it well. Virginia is survived by her children Duane and Jean Green of Layton; Sharon Green of Taylorsville; Denise and Ted Jensen of Taylorsville; Connie and Robert Bright of Layton; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, Wendell and Merlene Neville of Las Vegas; and Donald Neville of Kaysville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin sister, Elizabeth, son, Robert Allen, brother; Marvin and sister Wilma. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at Cascades at Riverwalk in Midvale and Envision Hospice for their care and concern for our mother.
