Marian Buck Creamer July 15, 1925 ~ November 16, 2018 Our beautiful and feisty mother, Marian Buck Creamer, passed away on November 16, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was 93 years old. She was born on July 15, 1925, in West Weber to Charles L. and Ethel Mower Buck.
She was raised on a farm and learned the value of hard work. She would let us know if any of us complained about our chores how hard she worked. Her favorite saying was “You don’t know anything about hard work until you thin beets all day long in the hot sun with your head in the dirt and your butt in the air”.
She has one brother and four sisters, Boyd Buck (deceased), Donna Thompson (deceased), Marie Johnson (deceased), Dorothy B. Arave (deceased), and Betty Lou Schultz. She married Ron H. Creamer on June 30, 1942, in Malad, Idaho. They had six children, DixieLee (Ken) Little, Karen (Jeff) Johnson, DeEtte (Lyle) Harrop, Ron L. Creamer, Chris Daren Creamer (deceased), and DaNene (Derek) Flores.
She has 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mother didn’t care how they came into the family. She loved them all.
Mother was always busy. She enjoyed horseback riding with her daughters in the Westernette Riding Club, working her flower garden – her yard was absolutely beautiful. Mother was an enthusiastic animal lover, especially her cats.
She was an amazing seamstress and could sew anything. You could show her a picture of a dress or pantsuit and she could make it without a pattern. She was also very handy with a hammer and a saw and was always remodeling her house.
Our dad would often say, “I’m afraid to go anywhere because I’m not sure where the front door will be when I get back”. The one thing Mom cherished was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was most at home whenever she was surrounded by her family where she could watch and hear them talk, laugh, and play.
Our mother taught us many things – to respect our elders, take responsibility for our actions, to be strong willed and independent, love our Country, and appreciate and treasure the beauty of nature that surrounds us every day. Most of all, she instilled in us that family is everything. Please join us in a “Celebration of Mom’s amazing life” on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Marriott/Slaterville Ward, 250 North 1500 West, Marriott/Slaterville, UT.
Cremation entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. The family would like to thank the staff at Quail Meadow and Comfort Worx Hospice, Alex and Darby, for their compassionate care of Mother. A special thank you to our Visiting Angel, Toni Tuesday (Ward), your friendship and love meant the world to Mother.
