Joseph Rodney Taylor June 19, 1946 ~ November 18, 2018 The man affectionately known as “That” Joe Taylor moved forward from this life on November 18, 2018. Joe became friends with all he came in contact with, had a heart of gold and believed in helping everyone regardless of their background. He will be reunited with the two beautiful, amazing ladies that he was lucky enough to have been loved by, his bride of 45 years, Teresa Rivera Taylor and his companion, Coleen Greene.

Joe was born in Ogden, UT on June 19, 1946 to Elden C. and Eva Lapreal Kendall Taylor. Joe leaves behind his brother, Harlan Taylor of Ogden. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Leola Taylor Brown and Ann Taylor Hughes; and two brothers, Weldon Taylor and Milton Taylor.

Joe believed that family was the glue that bound us together. The legacy he leaves starts with his three daughters, JoMarie Taylor (Ali Dadkhah-Jazi), Josette Taylor, and Jennifer Taylor (Troy Burgess) all of Ogden. He has eight grandchildren, Minaz Khajah (Brandon Smith), Berkley Saffell (Jake Saffell), Taylor Burgess, Tysen Burges, Yasmeen Khajah, Grayson Whetton, Tanner Burgess, and Dawson Whetton; and four great-grandchildren, Chloe, Conrad, Lola, and Camdyn and two more angels in waiting.

Joe cherished his relationships with long-time friends, Ray and Peggy Bowden, Al Hawkins, Rosa Jimenez and his wonderful brothers and sisters of the Cherrywood Community. Joe and his family also want to give a heartfelt thanks to Inspiration Hospice, a Step Forward Company and the Ogden City Fire Department for keeping his final days bright. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
