David L. Blanchard May 26, 1930 ~ November 14, 2018 David Lee Blanchard, 88, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 on his dear wife’s birthday. She recently passed away on October 6, 2018. They are now together again.

He was born May 26, 1930 in Copperton, Utah to Leon Otis and Mamie Robbins Blanchard. David attended schools in the Salt Lake area. He served in the U.S. Army in Japan with the First Calvary Division.

David was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in the scouting program. He had a great love for the Savior. He has lived in Copperton, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and in Washington Terrace since 1960.

David married his sweetheart, Nadine Morrison on August 2, 1952 in Ogden, Utah, at the home of her grandparents, Heber J. and Theresa Heiner. He worked for the U.S.A.F. for 37 years retiring in June 1985.

He also worked for Hill Top Lanes, Bud Favero, Weber County Department of Aging and Aerospace Engineering and Support Inc He was a member of the Washington Terrace Jaycees, Good Sam’s Camping Club, coached little league baseball and junior bowling. David is survived by his son, Douglas J. Blanchard, Washington Terrace; two daughters, Shanna (Mark) Udink, Clinton; Judy (Robert) Fowers, Roy; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and his little dog, Penny.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his dear wife of 66 years, Nadine, who passed away just five and a half weeks ago. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S., Roy. Friends may call on Friday from 6 pm to 8 pm and on Saturday from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

The family wishes to express thanks to Washington Terrace Care Center, Inspiration Hospice, and Lindsey. Also, a special thank you to our brother, Doug, for taking such excellent care of Mom and Dad over the years.
