Ida M. Alexander October 4, 1929 – April 21, 2018 Ida M. Alexander, 88, Loveland, Colorado, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:54 pm in Symphony of Chesterton, Chesterton, IN. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN. Private burial will take place in Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, Saturday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel. She was born October 4, 1929 in Gary, Indiana to the late Louis and Nellie (Hand) Lucas. On June 4, 1949 in Crown Point, IN she married Lloyd Alexander who preceded her in death on November 23, 1992.

Surviving are a daughter, Cindy Alexander of Michigan City, IN; two sons, Brian (Carolyn) Alexander and Dean (Joy) Alexander, both of Loveland, CO; ten grandchildren, Brian Alexander, Jeremy Alexander, Winter Watson, Sierra Crow, Daniel Alexander, Alexis Foster, Sherri Kowal, Angela Miller, David Connell and Steve Connell; and eighteen great-grandchildren, Kelsie, Taylor, Scarlett, Chloe, Zachary, Javani, Viana, Dempsey, Grady, Keira, Joe, Zoey, Zachary, Kellen, Elijah, Troy, Trevor and Travis. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rose Luzack; and brother, Louis Lucas. Ida enjoyed puzzles and word books.
