Mr. Fred A. Webster Sr. was born on July 17, 1955 in Cassopolis, Michigan to the beloved Lucille Webster and the late great John Webster Sr. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church 717 E. 10th St, Michigan City, Indiana with Pastor James E. Lane, officiating. Viewing will be 10 am until time of service Saturday at the church. Burial will take place immediately following service at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.

He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He later united with First Pentecostal Baptist Church and most recently with Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, both under the leadership of Pastor James E. Lane, where he served on the men’s choir and volunteered in the soup kitchen. Fred received his primary and secondary education from the Michigan City Area School System.

He attended Harrison Elementary and graduated from Isaac C. Elston High School in 1975. He worked at many of the foundries and plants in and around town. He absolutely loved kicking it with family and friends, cooking, sports and being the local handy man as his most recent profession.

Fred was granted his heavenly wings on April 1, 2018 at the age of 62years 8months and 14days. He was preceded in death by his father John W. Webster Sr., his paternal grandparents Fred A. & Annie Webster and his maternal grandparents Mattie Lee Baker & John Shepherd. Fred leaves to celebrate his memories: his wife, Suzanne Webster, his mother, Lucille Webster of South Bend, IN; his children, Jameka, Jessica, Shana and Fred A. Webster Jr. all of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Jaelan Webster, JaSean Harris, Jajuan Allison, Davion Jenkins, J’Von Slaughter, Dameria Webster, Dacorey Webster, Da’Asia Webster, Jamane Allison, Donavion Webster, Jarvis Tillman, Brequan Webster, Brioni Webster all of Indianapolis, IN; Kiandre Webster, Kamarion Webster, Miyanna Webster, Zaidan Webster all of Michigan City, IN; his special great-grandchild, Ja’Kayla Arnold of Indianapolis, IN; three sisters, Karen Taylor of South Bend, IN; Bernice Adams, and Delorise Coleman of Cleveland, OH; four brothers, Michael (Judy) Webster of Michigan City, IN; John (Virginia), Webster Jr., Preston Coleman, and Lawrence Coleman all of Memphis, TN; his uncle, John Murphy of Niles, MI; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his church family.

He will be greatly missed by everyone’s life he touched.
