Kenneth “Kenny” Darrel Boyd was born November 3, 1957 in Michigan City, IN to Ruth Worlds and Lamar Sims. Kenny was raised by his loving mother Ruth and step-father Glenard Worlds. Kenny loved family and confessed the Lord Jesus Christ, at an early age.

He attended Rogers High School. He was a member and deacon at Deliverance And Victory Five Fold Ministries where his pastors were Overseer Darryl and Apostle Vera Roberts. Kenny was previously a long time member of Divine Inspiration Church, where his sister, Marcia Neal was the pastor.

On May 16th, 2009, he married the love of his life Regina Jenkins. He married late in life, so it was such a joy to experience married life. During his life, he was employed by Blossom, Plastic Master, and Gateway.

Music was Kenny’s passion, and you could always find him singing or ministering at anytime day or night. He was a member of the Sensational Friendly Six Gospel Quartet. He was a traveling singer, and loved spreading the gospel.

He really enjoyed sitting at home or with others playing and listening to gospel music, and dressing up was one of his favorite things to do. Kenny was such a family man. He loved all of his family and friends.

You were always welcomed when it came to Kenny. Kenny received his wings on April 20, 2018 at St. Joseph Regional, Mishawaka, IN. He was preceded in death by his step-father Glenard Worlds, two brothers, Timothy Boyd and Leslie Boyd, one sister, Amy Lynn Worlds and step daughter Zendra Jenkins.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories his loving wife Regina Boyd, of Michigan City, IN; three sons, Jermale Duncan, Terre Haute, IN, Darryl Duncan, Joshua Duncan, both of Michigan City, IN; one daughter: Evelyn Duncan of Michigan City, IN; three step-children: Dion (Sandy) Jenkins of Valparaiso, IN; Antiontte (Brian) Smith of Indianapolis, IN; David (Shamika) Smith of Lafayette, IN; four sisters: Renee (William) Eckwood, Marcia (Dewalph) Neal, Tamara (Micheal) Lark, Lillian (Gene) Ferrell, all of Michigan City, IN; two brothers: Jerald ”Bubby”(Rosemary) Worlds, of Michigan City, IN; Jerry Carter of South Bend, IN; a few special friends, Jimmy Grant, King, and Oscar Hurt one great grandchild; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Kenny will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
