Richard W. Schultz, II August 12, 1963 – June 18, 2018 Richard W. Schultz, II, 54, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at 5:44 pm in Franciscan Health – Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana. Memorial services will be conducted and will be announced at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana are handling arrangements.

He was born August 12, 1963 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Richard and Mary Frances (Stine) Schultz, Sr. Surviving is his mother, Mary Frances Mitchell, Michigan City, Indiana along with three Sisters, Rebecca Schultz of Michigan City, Indiana, Deborah (George) Samardzija of La Porte City, Indiana and Paulette (Richard) Sandberg of North Judson, Indiana; two nephews, Thorn Robbins of Michigan City, Indiana and Dale Sandberg of North Judson, Indiana; two nieces, Amity (Harrison) Holtkamp and Lacy McCarthy both of Michigan City, Indiana; great-nephew, Cameron McCarthy of Michigan City, Indiana; aunt, Sandra Stine of Michigan City, Indiana; He was preceded in death by his step-father, Paul Mitchell; Rick was owner/operator of Schultz Sandblasting & Painting, Michigan City, Indiana. He also was a welder and member of Iron Workers Local Union #377, San Jose and San Francisco, California and spent a number of years as an over the road truck driver. He had a sincere love for raising and saving abandoned and rescue dogs.

There was no such thing knowing a stranger as he loved talking with all people.
