Ida’s Obituary Ida L. Gambrel, of Dearborn Heights, passed away on January 24, 2019. Is survived by beloved husband of 64 years John C. Gambrel. Dear children: Don Gambrel (Cindy), Laura Murray, Tony Gambrel, Mitzi Girardin (Larry) and Julia Manley (Kevin).

Grandchildren: Sean, Nathan, Chris (Rob), Michelle, Tony, Jeremy, Joshua, Danielle, Brian, Joellen, Katie, Robert, Davis, Stacia, Phylicia, and Katherine. Great grandchildren: Alexis, Brendan, Elizabeth (Lizzy), Caleb, Charlie, Cruze, Arabella, Mitchell, Jordan, Gabbriella, Derrick, Emily, Rylee, Hayden, Grayson, McKay, Sam, Sullivan, Colton, Ezekiel, Alaina, Kennedy, Veronica, Rylee and great great grandchild Geanna. Also survived by siblings Agnes Stacey, Vivian Ledford, Eva Hulen, Fern Ledford, Marie Genslak, Jean Warring and Clarence Ray Townsley (Louellen) and the late Mary Broughton, Cleda Stoller, Colonel Townsley and Kelly Townsley.

Ida attended Barbourville High School and Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky. She worked at National Bank of Detroit for over 20 years. Her favorite past time was spending time with her darling children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 27th from 2-6PM. The funeral service will be delayed, due to weather, until Tuesday, January 29th at 11AM. All services will be located at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph.

Ida will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
