Obituary for Ignacia “Agnes” Briones Ignacia (Agnes) Briones – passed away peacefully at home on Monday September 10, 2018. Age 98. Survived by her devoted daughter Rosemarie (Martin) Geschke, grandson Robert Briones and great-granddaughter Kim Briones.

Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by her son Edward Briones, parents Ortilio and Julia Gutierrez, brothers Rosario, Steve and Ezequiel and her sisters Julia, Dolores and Jessie. Ignacia attended Joliet Township High School.

Member of Judson Church in Joliet. After 35 years of service she retired from The Home Insurance Company in Chicago. She enjoyed working in the yard and meeting with the ladies at the Senior Centers crochet class where she made beautiful afghans.

She was a devoted and loving mother and will be missed by all. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Joliet Area Community Hospice for their care of mom. Funeral Services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory, 2320 Black Road Joliet on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM.

Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-7p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Judson Church of Joliet would be appreciated. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Ignacia “Agnes” Briones please visit our Sympathy Store.
