Obituary for Ina Gackle Ina Meta Gackle, age 93, of Circle, Montana passed away on January 4, 2019 at the McCone County Health Center in Circle. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Silha Funeral Home in Glendive, Montana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Silha Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Inion officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements. Ina was born on June 12, 1925 on the family farm in Blue Grass, ND, a daughter of Benjamin and Johanna (Albrecht) Moos.
She attended country school through the eighth grade and graduated from New Salem High School with the class of 1945. Following her high school education she attended college in Yankton, SD and graduated from there in 1949. She continued her education further by gaining her nurses training in Grand Forks, ND and graduated in 1952.
Ina then went to Denver, CO to work as a nurse for St. Luke’s Hospital for about one year. While attending school in Yankton, Ina met her future husband, Harold Gackle, through her roommate at the time. Ina and Harold were united in marriage on August 27, 1954 at the German Congregational Church in Blue Grass, ND.
Following their marriage, the couple moved to Plentywood, MT where Ina worked at the local hospital until the birth of their son Koree. Later the family was complete following the birth of their daughter, Kyleen. Ina enjoyed playing piano and organ for the church and at home for many years.
She was also an avid gardener and seamstress. Ina also enjoyed cooking and baking and took classes for cake decorating. She even dabbled in woodworking for a time.
She was active in the local homemakers club both in Plentywood and Circle for quite a few years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Johanna; her husband, Harold; two sisters and their spouses, Edna (Glenn) Sprunk and Ella (Rubben) Heinle; three brothers, Edward (Helen) Moos, Alvin (Frieda) Moos, and Albrecht Moos; one brother-in-law, Milton Lennick; and one sister-in-law, Betty Moos. Ina is survived by her son Koree Gackle of South Carolina and his children, Anthony and Cody Gackle of California; her daughter Kyleen Gackle (Mike) of Circle and their children, Suzette Kuntz (Kole) of Belgrade, MT, Austyn Gackle (Jessica) and their son Marshall of Pierre, SD, Miles Gackle of Circle, and Kyndra Kluth (Justice) and their children Kaitlyn and Jaxon of Circle; one sister, Elaine Lennick of Bismarck, ND; one brother, Walter Moos of Mandan, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.
