Mrs. Ina Jean Webster Godwin, 87, died on July 27, 2018, at Heritage Home of Florence after a long illness. The graveside service, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday July 28, 2018, at Lee Cemetery in Lake City. Mrs. Godwin, who was born in Florence County, was the wife of the late Howard F. Godwin, Sr., and a daughter of the late Paul Webster and Emma W. Webster.

She was a graduate of Lake City High School and attended Coker College. Mrs. Godwin was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Paula Lynn G. Garland (Mike) of Winterville, GA, and Janet L. Godwin of Scranton; two sons, Howard F. Godwin, II (Faith) of Lake City, and Jon Barry Godwin (Charlotte) of Hartsville; one sister, Patricia W. Godwin of Lake City; six grandchildren, Seth Garland (Susan), Rebecca G. Rentz (Greg), Dee G. Johnson (Hunter), Howard F. Godwin, III (Ashton), Joshua Godwin, and Lindsay G. Bennett (Ross); and six great-grandchildren, Braden Garland, Lucas Garland, Laura Rentz, Jackson Rentz, Britton Johnson and Stella Johnson.

Mrs. Godwin was predeceased by a sister, Mary Alice Webster and brother, Glynn W. Webster. Memorials may be made to Lake City Gideon’s Camp, PO Box 1263, Lake City, SC, 29560.
