Obituary for Indira Lynn Doherty Indira Lynn (Boatman) Doherty was born on June 13, 1962 in North Kansas City, MO. to Joseph Charles and Faye Marie Boatman. Indira entered the Gates of Heaven on September 18, 2018 in Denison, TX.

at the age of 56. Indira married Oscar Lewis Doherty in 1982 and they were blessed with 24 years of marriage until Oscar’s passing in 2016. Indira moved to Durant in 2013 from Missouri.

She was a loving homemaker to husband and children. She was a member of Robinson Road Baptist Church and she enjoyed knitting, lace making, beading and spinning yarn. Indira dearly loved her Lord and Saviour, her family and friends.

Indira was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lewis Doherty; son, David Lowel Doherty and parents, Joseph and Faye Boatman. Loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are son, Joseph Charles Doherty; sisters, Sharron Faye Wooldridge and Rhonda Lynnnette Fogle and numerous extended family and friends. A celebration of Indira’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Robinson Road Baptist Church.
