Obituary for Jack J. Furniss Jack J. Furniss, age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 24, 2018. He was born on May 18, 1929 in Green Camp, OH to the late Arthur A. and Bernice (Fryman) Furniss. Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and went on to work at Columbus Auto Parts for a number of years.

After he retired, Jack and his wife, Marian enjoyed camping and picnicking at various state and metro parks. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Geraldine Lowry. He is survived by his wife of 33 loving years, Marian; sons, Steve (Rita) Furniss and Mike (Debbie) Furniss; daughter, Lisa (Gary) Jensen; stepchildren, Rebecca (Rob) Poling, Ellen (Jason) VanDyne, and Eric (Mary Kay) Pohlschneider; sisters, Francis Myers and Carol Lantz; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held for Jack at the Walnut Hill United Methodist Church, 975 Rathmell Rd in Columbus, OH 43207, on Saturday, October 27 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Jeffrey Julien officiating. Inurnment at Walnut Hill Cemetery to follow at a later date.
