Jack LaTour, age 81, passed away on May 22, 2019 at Alta Ridge Assisted Living due to natural causes. He was born on January 8, 1937 in New Hampton, Iowa to Pearl Hartson and Jimmie LaTour. Jack lived on a farm with his parents and sister Joan, they raised cows, pigs and chickens; they also grew corn and oats.

He attended a country school until 7th grade when they moved to town. In High School Jack tried various sports but really enjoyed track the most. He spent 4 years serving in the United States Air Force, following his military service he married Marlys Richards in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and they had four children and divorced after 16 years of marriage.

He worked for Giant Store and then later went to work for Amana where he retired following a 20 year career. After 30 years of living on his own, Jack moved to Utah to be closer to most of his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He is survived by his children, Brian; Brad; Amy and Wendy; 12 Grandkids and 2 Great-Grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother and Sister, Joan. A Viewing will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Chapel located at the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery (Camp Williams) followed by graveside services at 2:00 PM with Military Honors presented by the United States Air Force and the Utah American Legion District 8; under the direction of Wiscombe Memorial.
