Jack Lee Theuerkauf, 85, of Evansville, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019, at Oasis Demetia Care. He was born December 23, 1933 to the late Harry and Betty E. (Wilson) Theuerkauf. Jack graduated from Bosse High School where he was captain of the football team.

After High School he attended Western Kentucky University where he also played football and received his Master’s degree. He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Air Force. Jack retired from the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, where he taught and coached at Central High School for many years.

He was past president of the PTA of Central, past president of Evansville Civitan, and former principal of West Heights Building Trade School. Jack is survived by his wife, Sally of 53 years; daughter, Leigh Anne ( Michael Boerner) Theuerkauf; son, Robert (Jennifer) Theuerkauf; grandchildren, Meghan and Jessop Appell, Carly Werner and Robbie Theuerkauf; sisters, Shirley Enani from Shreveport, LA and Peggy Archuleta of Henderson, NV; and nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be 10:00 am –2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. , Evansville. Memorial services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev.

Bessie Adams and Don Bernhardt officiating.
