OBITUARY Jack Lewis Lail March 30, 1937 – July 12, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Jack Lewis Lail, 81, of Hickory, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born March 30, 1937 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Oliver Jefferson Lail and Mary Christine Isenhour Lail. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Jack was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and retired as office manager of North Hickory Furniture Co. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Christopher Ashton Lail, Jonathan Lewis Lail, and sisters, Sue Webster and Ruth Keller.

Jack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gaye Costner Lail; daughter, Julie Lail Peltzer and husband, David; brother, Denny Lail and wife Becky; brother-in-law, Don Webster; nephews, Alan Lail and wife Beth and Phillip Lail and wife Rita and numerous other nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hickory, with Rev. Mark Seaman officiating.

Burial with Military Rites will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2160 35th Avenue Dr. NE, Hickory, NC 28601 or Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
