Private services were held for Jack Royal Brothers, 84, who passed away late Thursday afternoon, May 10, 2018 at Hospice House in North Lima. Jack was born on May 8, 1934 on the family farm in New Springfield, a son of Royal Kelly and Alice May (Heberling) Brothers. A life-long resident of New Springfield, he was married to the former Shirley V. Morjock for 62 years before her death in 2013.

Jack worked on the farm, and was employed at Youngstown Manufacturing for three years and General Extrusions for four years before going to United Engineering where he stayed for twenty years. He also worked at East Fairfield Coal for 15 years. He was a member of Old Springfield Church, a deacon at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, and a greeter and usher at New Life Assemblies of God.

Jack enjoyed restoring old tractors, and belonged to the National Rifle Association, Ford Tractor Collector’s Association and Case Collectors Association. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons Daniel and his wife Debby of New Middletown, Jeffrey and his wife Kimberly of New Springfield and Jack and his wife Betty of Salem; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife Shirley and three sisters.

Material donations may be made in Jack’s name to Old Springfield Church, 11957 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Rd. , Petersburg, OH 44454. The family has entrusted Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima, Ohio with the arrangements for their loved one.
