A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 180 7th Street, Columbiana, Ohio, on Tuesday, September 18, at 10:00 a.m. for Margaret “Jean” Schlueter, who passed away Wednesday, September 12 with her family by her side. Jean was born May 11, 1940 in Youngstown, a daughter of George and Eleanor (Kennedy) Taylor. She married Henry Michael Schlueter on April 20, 1963.

Jean was a columnist on her high school newspaper, the Chaney Westerner. She was employed by Murphy’s, Schwartz Clothing, and the United States Postal Service before marrying her only love, Henry. She enjoyed being a devoted mother to her four children, and especially loved time with her grandchildren.

Jean was involved with St. Jude Roman Catholic Church as a volunteer unselfishly giving of her time to numerous organizations including volunteering in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. In her spare time, Jean liked to bowl, was part of a card club, and a member of TOPS. She leaves four children, Michael Schlueter and his wife Julie of New Springfield, John Schlueter and his wife Donna of New Waterford, Daniel Schlueter and his wife Cheryl of Columbiana, and Karen Schlueter and Joe Orth of Clinton, MT, 10 grandchildren Katrena (Tyler) Lende, Emily, Darren, Hank, Josh, Lauren, Brock and Sidney Schlueter, and Lake and Moss Orth, two great-grandchildren Greta Rose and Henry Lende, and siblings Beatrice Telshaw, George Taylor, Elaine (George) Streitferdt, Douglas (Joella) Taylor, Patrick (Diane) Taylor, and Monica (Lew) Lowery.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Henry on April 13, 1992. Family and friends may call on Monday, September 17th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm Street and again at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on September 18th. Family and friends may visit www.
