Jack’s Obituary Mr. Jack Schaffer, age 75, loving husband of Carol Schaffer, and a resident of Spring Hill, passed away Monday morning, May 20, 2019, at Centennial Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Lindell Cooley and Larry Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Love in Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to the funeral home.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on April 23, 1944, in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, Jack was the son of the late Joseph Lawrence Schaffer and the late Helen Harney Schaffer.

He served his country in the United States Navy and retired from IBM as a technical writer. Jack was a faithful Christian who loved God and was a member of Grace Church Nashville. He enjoyed his “hobby farm,” his barn, and his tractor.

Having a great sense of humor, Jack was always laughing and could make anyone around him laugh. He was a very compassionate person who loved all people, especially his family. In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by his children: Noel (Brett) Adams of Texas, Michael (Elsa) Schaffer of Florida, Jessie (Patrick) Maley of Tennessee; sister: Bobbi Polaski of Colorado; grandchildren: Zachary, Alexandra, Luke, Eliza, Grace, Jacob, Claire, Ethan, Helen, Josiah, Asher, Sierra, Jackson, Isabella; and four great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Denny Schaffer. Pallbearers will be: Mike Schaffer, Brett Adams, Patrick Maley, Zach Adams, Luke Adams, Jacob Adams, Michael Maley, and Humberto Torres.
