Obituary for Jackie Coffman Jackie Coffman, 87, of Knightstown, passed away, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born March 4, 1931 in New Castle the daughter of Goebel and Rushia (Jackson) Jackson. Jackie worked at Western Electric in Indianapolis and the Knightstown Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home.

She also managed the Knightstown License Branch for many years and was the first woman to serve on the Charles A. Beard Memorial School Board of Trustees. She was very involved with the Henry County Republican Party and served as a Precinct Committeeman. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women, the Knightstown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and she volunteered at the Hoosier Gym.

Her family was her hobby, especially her grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Debbie (Rusty) Johnson, Brenda (Pat) Smoot and Lori (Donny) Martin all of Knightstown; grandchildren, Amanda (John) Heineman of Irvine, CA, Hilary (Craig) Dollens of Pendleton, Wes Smoot of Knightstown, Sarah (Scott) Widner of Springport, Tyler Smoot of Knightstown, Matthew (Rachel) Martin of Knightstown, and Andrew Martin of Galveston, IN; 11 great grandchildren, Emma Heineman, Zoey and Drake Dollens, Makaley, Kinsley and Brayley Smoot, Sadie and Seth Widner, Braxton Smoot, Gary Nolen, and Oliver Martin; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Coffman in 2005; two sisters, Ruby Huse and Mary Wells; four brothers, Shelton, Malcolm, Alec and Jimmy Jackson.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p..
