Mr. Jackie Earl Hunter, age 77, of King, NC, passed away on September 17, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on January 15, 1941, to the late Fred Eugene Hunter and Agnes Pulliam Hunter. Mr. Hunter is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Wilkins and husband, Jerry; Michael Hunter and wife, Tammy; Mitchell Hunter and wife, Tammy; three sisters, Betty Tucker, Norma Tucker and husband, J. L., and Patricia Niten and friend, Donnie.

; a brother, Bobby Wayne Hunter and wife, Mary; eight grandchildren, Jason Hunter and wife, Amanda, Jennifer Johnson and husband, Brad, Jaclyn Ballard and husband, Chad, Brandon Wilkins and wife, Janelle, Landon Wilkins, Mason Wilkins, Maddison Wilkins, and Faithlyn Wilkins; six great-grandchildren, Hallie Hunter, Graham Hunter, Saylem Ballard, Adah Ballard, Keegon Wilkins, and Scarlott Wilkins; and special friend, Macie Coe. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Beatrice Rumell Smith Hunter and his parents, Fred Eugene Hunter and Agnes Pulliam Hunter. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 22, 2018, two hours prior to the service at Mount Olive Baptist Church from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and at other times at the home of Jerry and Teresa Wilkins, 1511 Jones Road, King, NC 27021.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Mount Olive Baptist Church at 5 P.M. with Pastor Zach Deaton officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, 5413 Hwy 66 S, King, NC 27021, following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Winston-Salem.
