Jacquelyn “Jackie” Frances Christenson September 28, 1939 – January 03, 2019 Share this obituary Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Jacquelyn (Jackie) Frances Christenson, age 79, of Isle, MN passed away in Florida on January 3, 2019 with her family by her side. Jackie was born on September 28, 1939 in Boston, MA. Jackie married John “Jack” P. Christenson on May 7, 1960 in St. Paul, MN.

Jackie resided in Hastings, MN while working and raising family. Once retired, Jack and Jackie spent their summers in New London/Spicer, MN and then Isle, MN. They spent their winters in Key Largo, Cape Coral, and Okeechobee, FL.

Jack and Jackie worked together as a team running a plumbing, heating, and electrical business. Jackie took care of the office work and bookkeeping while Jack was out on jobs and working with local business owners. Jackie loved “the farm” on Mille Lacs Lake.

She enjoyed visits with family and friends. Some of her favorite times were spent on the deck watching wildlife, the hummingbirds, and enjoying a glass of chardonnay. Jackie enjoyed many adventures with Jack over their 58 years of marriage.

They enjoyed boating on the St. Croix, Mississippi, Atlantic Ocean, and the Gulf of Mexico with all of their boats named “The Pair of Jacks”. They traveled by motorhome to the north shore, to Wisconsin for family visits and out to New London/Willmar/Clara City for family and friend visits. Jackie and Jack also traveled to/from Florida every fall and spring.

Jackie was an avid reader and enjoyed her Nooks over the years. She managed to get a few games of solitaire in too. Jackie is preceded in death by son; Matthew W. Christenson; mother, Emma L. Miller; father, William J. Sliney; step-father, Arthur G. Miller.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband, John “Jack” P. Christenson; daughters, Holly (Peter) Borgen of Maple Grove, MN, Julie Christenson of Pahokee, FL, Mary (Andy) Flores of Woodbury, MN; sister, Anne (Dennis) Brown of Burnsville, MN; brother, Arthur “Bud” G. Miller, Jr of Hastings, MN; seven grandchildren, Melissa (Dylan), Kailey, Andy, Tiana, Christopher, David, Matthew; great grandchild, Rylie; and many other nieces and nephews. Acts of love and remembrance of Jackie are appreciated with memorials to Camp Confidence (campconfidence.com), which was founded by Jackie’s brother-in-law Richard “Dick” Endres or to The American Cancer Society. A Celebration of Jackie’s Life will be held at 1 p.m. on August 17, 2019 at “the Farm” with lunch being served until 4 p.m. Arrangements by Mille Lacs Lake Funeral Home of Isle, MN.
