James A. Burton March 16, 2017 – March 23, 2019 Share this obituary Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences On March 23, 2019, James Allan Burton passed away at the age of 72. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, where he lived before moving to Houston in 1970. He is survived by his wife Kaye Burton, daughter Laura Bates, and 3 grandchildren: Elle, Sam, and Scarlett.

He is also survived by 3 brothers: Chris, Nathan, and Tom. Jim graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in chemical engineering. He worked at Exxon for thirty years before retiring.

He enjoyed playing the piano, reading, and traveling. A Memorial Service will be held at Bulverde Methodist Church on Monday, April 1, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Memorial Gifts be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children – Texas at www. sjrctexas.org.
