Funeral Mass Monday, March 18, 2019 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church James A. Illy, age 79, of Cheektowaga, formerly of Tonawanda, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at his residence. Born October 27, 1939 in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Anthony and Irene (nee Zahm) Illy. James was a resident of Cheektowaga for more than 25 years and had been employed in the office at Columbus McKinnon Corp.

. He was the brother of June (Roger) Burgler of Tonawanda; uncle of Roger J. Burgler of Batavia; and great uncle of Justin Burgler of Rochester, New York. He is also survived by his faithful companion, Heidi (a schnauzer).

There is no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 150 Broad Street at Clinton Park, Tonawanda; the Rev. Michael Uebler officiating.

Friends invited. Entombment will be cared for privately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
