Obituary for James Dean Goodwin James D. Goodwin, 63, of Kansas City, KS, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, December 7, 2018. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 15th, 2018, from 12:00-2:00pm with a funeral service at 2:00pm, both at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. , Independence, MO 64052.

Interment will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence. James was born October 29th, 1955 to James Dale and Dorothea (Finnell) Goodwin in Kansas City, MO.

In 1973, He married Mary Pyle and together, they raised two sons. Later, in June of 2014, he married Tammy Roberts. James worked for Crystal Trenching Company for over 30 years.

He was an avid billiards player and loving husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa. He is preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Goodwin, his sons Jimmy Dale Goodwin and his wife, Sherri, of Independence, and Robert Lee Goodwin of Independence; grandchildren, Jake Hubbard, Cody Goodwin, Megan Hubbard, Morgan Hubbard, J.D. Goodwin, Shayla Goodwin and Mariah Goodwin; as well as 9 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.
