James Duard Crosby, Jr. passed away on May 13, 2018 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC. He was born on June 15, 1966 in Hickory, NC. James is preceded in death by his father, James Duard Crosby, Sr., who passed in 1998; grandma, Hattie Johnson; son, Nathaniel Crosby; aunt, Ora Mabel Crosby; and daughter, Tasha Crosby.

He was affiliated with the Baptist Church, and loved to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles. James also enjoyed leather making, camping, piddling, fixing things, and above all, helping others. The circle of love and life… Lisa ‘Mama’ Crosby, caretaker and former wife, and daughter, Charity Crosby of Hendersonville, NC; former sister-in-law and caretaker, Lynn Lebeck aka Winnie of Hendersonville, NC, and her children, Danielle Lawson (Mike), Rayeme Lynn of Charleston, SC , Christopher Lawson, Brandi Mea (who shares James’ birthday) of Michigan, and grand dog, Gracie Mae; brother, Eric Crosby of Hickory, NC; and very close friend, Sandy Tong of Hendersonville, NC.

Special thanks to Dr. Sullivan and the Elizabeth House doctors and staff for hospice and palliative care, and all care given to him during his journey.
