James’ Obituary James F. Whitlatch, 94, of Dallison, WV passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at his residence. He was born September 16, 1924 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Allison Evert and Ava Blanche Stump Whitlatch. James served in the US Army during WW II.

He retired from the Acme Fishing Tool as a manager and also was a manager at the Carousel Motel in Fort Myers, Florida. James enjoyed collecting clocks, hunting and fishing. James is survived by his three children, Diana L. Newton (Fred) of Washington, WV, James F. Whitlatch, II (Sandy) of Parkersburg, and Hal Whitlatch (Nancy) of Belpre, OH; three grandchildren, Jamie Whitlatch (Stacey), Dennis Whitlatch and Herb Whitlatch (Trish); five great-grandchildren, Corey, Cassie, Tyler, Alex, and Zane; and his “little buddy”, Fritz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Chloanna Fay Whitlatch; brother, Evert L. Whitlatch; and sister, Anna Sutton. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St, south Parkersburg with Rev. Linda Steelman officiating.

Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. To share online condolences with the family, please visit www.
