Charles Allen Shingleton May 17, 1956 – March 23, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Charles Allen Shingleton, 62, of Parkersburg passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at his residence. He was born May 17, 1956 in Cincinnati, OH, a son of the late Denton and Ova Jean Sunderman Shingleton. Charles was retired from the Insulators Local Union #80.

He was a member of the Wood County Indivisible, enjoyed computers, working on cars, listening to old rock and roll, and loved his dogs and cats. Charles is survived by his wife, Julie Jackson Shingleton; his daughter, Jennifer Maslany of North Carolina; his son, Joel Shingleton (Linzy) of Knoxville, TN; his aunt, Martha Pickens of St. Mary’s, WV; and his brothers and sister, David Shingleton, Robert Shingleton (Ellen), Bill Shingleton (Trina), and Ann Ward (Larry) all of St. Mary’s. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Shingleton.

Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
