Pauline Murphy, 82, of Vienna passed away March 16, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. She was born on January 2, 1937 in Wirt Co., WV, the daughter of the late Harry and Leona May Joy Wells. Pauline retired from Anderson Stephan News, the former Valley News Service after forty-one years and was Methodist by faith.

Pauline is survived by her son Jerry Murphy (Sherri) of Vienna, granddaughter Allison Murphy of Columbia, SC, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles O. Murphy in 1995, brothers Harry Avery Wells, Floyd Wells, Howard Hamerick, Denzil “Pete” Wells, Truman Wells and sister Jean McVay. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Kapple officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery Visitation will be 5 – 8 on Tuesday and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
