James G. Klabunde 73, of Woodstock died Monday July 23, 2018 at JourneyCare Hospice Inpatient Unit in Woodstock. Jim was born in Woodstock on October 11, 1944 to Christopher and Arline (Rockefeller) Klabunde. He married Karen Anderson on May 16, 1964 at Faith Lutheran Church in Walworth, Wisconsin.

Jim was employed for 43 years at Chrysler Corp in Belvidere. He was a proud member of UAW Local 1268. He retired in September of 2008.

He is survived by his wife of 54 wonderful years, Karen Klabunde; a son, Jeffrey J. (Julie) Klabunde of Canton, Michigan; 3 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Morgan and Tyler; a brother, Al (Cathy) Klabunde; 3 sisters, Jude (Larry) Zack, Sally (Lloyd) Slack and Mary (David) VanLue; also, a sister in law, Peggie Klabunde. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Christopher Klabunde; half-brother, Clifford Klabunde; two half-sisters, Arlene McNett and Betty Sweetland. In accordance with Jim’s wishes, all services will be private.
