James’ Obituary James I. “Huff” Hoffman, of Hermitage, passed away from an extended illness at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 29, 2019) in Nugent Convalescent Home. He was 89.

On Feb. 11, 1929, he was born in Brookville, Pa. , a son to Madeline (Bennett) and Wayne Hoffman.

Huff was a truck driver for 44 years, during which time he received many awards, including never having had an accident. Besides camping, traveling and shopping, Huff loved tinkering with everything. He is survived by: his wife, Betty R. (Schott) Hoffman, at home, whom he married June 6, 1986; a daughter, Sandra Gaines and her companion Ray McKnight of Hermitage; five sons, James Hoffman and his wife Linda of Brockway, Pa.

, Bob Hoffman of DuBois, Pa. , Steve Hoffman and his wife Debbie of Dayton, Ohio, Daniel Nettinger and his wife Kim of Wheatland, and Gary Nettinger and his wife Sabrina of Georgia; sisters, Betty Miller of Austin, Texas, and Donna Dinger of Vermilion, Ohio; a brother, Bill Hoffman and his wife Nikki of Dubois; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Huff was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Hoffman, and a granddaughter, Heidi.
