80, of Johnston, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 15, 2018. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James Joseph Feeley Sr., and Alexandro and Anna Cambio. James was also the son-in-law of the late Helen and Jess Tartaglia.

James is survived by his devoted wife Marie Tartaglia Feeley of Johnston. He was the loving father of Cheryl Feeley and son-in-law Joe Buco and Andrea Conte and her husband Silvio, all of Johnston. James was the cherished grandfather of Arianna and Silvio Conte, both of Johnston.

He is also survived by his brother Raymond Cambio and his wife, Sylvia, of Cranston, and cousin Marilyn Crowther, of Jacksonville, Florida. He was the brother of the late Joseph Cambio, Donald Cambio, Eleanor McGovern and Robert Cambio. He was the brother-in-law of Jean Lucier, John Tartaglia and his wife Lona, and the late George Tartaglia.

James was a proud US Army veteran, stationed in Germany during his service. Following his service, he worked for over forty-five years at Texas Instruments until his retirement. James spent many years coaching Johnston girls softball.

He played first base on various regional softball leagues until his mid-seventies, winning multiple championships at the local and national level. He played on the gold-medal winning AAA softball team in the 2005 Huntsman World Senior Games in St George, Utah before competing in the 2005 Senior Olympics in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The most important thing to James was his family.

He generously took his wife, children, and grandchildren on countless family vacations up and down the East Coast, creating wonderful memories that will be cherished forever. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 20th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial with military honors will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
