Obituary Service Details James J. Setzer, age 43, of Belleville, IL, born on May 18, 1975 in Belleville, IL, died on Sunday, October 7, 2018 in Waterloo, IL. James was a graduate of Dupo High School. He was a triple sport letterman in football, basketball and baseball.

He was a United States Marie Corps Veteran. James loved sports and especially loved the St. Louis Cardinals. He could make anyone laugh, as he was full of fun and a friend to all.

James is survived by his parents, James W. (Peggy) Setzer of Belleville, IL and Marsha (John) Kittel of Belleville, IL; his sister, Jennifer Elaine (Mark) Troedel of Valencia, CA; his step-brother, Chris Kittel (Natalie); his nieces and nephew, James Logan Ketchum, Kayla Troedel, Miranda Troedel, Kirsten Troedel, Dax and Summer Rose Kittel; and his girlfriend, Sheila Smith and her son, Chance Denbow. Memorials may be made to the O’Fallon VFW, 221 W. 1st Street, O’Fallon, IL. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.

kasslyfuneral.com. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
