OBITUARY Melissa Diane Collins March 17, 1969 – November 28, 2018 Melissa Diane Collins, 49, suffered a cardiac episode in the late hours of November 27, 2018 and despite the extraordinary and heroic efforts of her son Lukas and the St. Elizabeth ICU team to save her, she succumbed on November 28, 2018. She was born March 17, 1969 in Belleville. She was a beautiful, and feisty, fun loving spirit and was adored by many.

Those of you who met her in recent years may not have been familiar with her sense of humor, beauty and style. Her family and friends will always remember her as a great mother, coach, football fan, and a lover, protector and mentor of her three children. Melissa is survived by her daughter, Chelsey Lampros, her sons, Dustin Lampros, and Lukas Collins, all of Freeburg; her mother, Elaine Gojmeric and her stepfather Nick A. Gojmeric of Smithton.

Visitation will be held from 1 pm until the time of Trisagion’s Service at 4 pm at Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights. A private burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Belleville at a later date.
