Obituary for James “Jim” “The Breadman” Meyerrose RUSHVILLE – James “Jim” “The Breadman” Meyerrose, age 70, of Rushville, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1948 in Greensburg, IN as the son of Arthur and Ruth (Burchard) Meyerrose. He graduated from Greensburg Community High School in 1966 and obtained his bachelors in business degree from Ball State University in 1970 where he was a member of Alpha Phi Omega.

Jim married Lisa (Jarrett) on July 19, 1986 in Mt. Comfort, IN. At the age of 12 Jim stepped onto his first bread truck with his father at Colonial Baking Company.

He continued working for various bakeries over the years until starting his own company in 2006. He was a member of National Independent Concessionaires Association. Jim loved his “Little Lisa,” grandchildren, and dogs.

His favorite pastime was working, in addition to watching his favorite television shows. Jim is survived by his wife, Lisa Meyerrose of Rushville; daughter, Erin (George) Ignas of Mooresville; son, Chris (Amy) Meyerrose of Cloverdale; siblings, Melissa (Bob) Bostic of Montgomery, AL and Bill (Connie) Meyerrose of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Paisley, Adelaide, Sarah, Allison, and Natalie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joey Dale Meyerrose; and father-in-law, Maurice L. Jarrett.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary.

Jerry Young will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association, ECAA P.O. Box 55071 #15530, Boston, MA 02205-5071.
