James Leslie “Jimmy” Hyatt, 83, husband of 57 years to Carlotta June Sutherland Hyatt, of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Anderson County to the late Robert L. Hyatt, Sr. and Edna Gladys Wallace Hyatt. Mr. Hyatt was a graduate of Lawrenceburg City High School; US Army veteran that served during the Korean War; and owned Jim’s Pool Room for 44 years.

Along with his wife he is survived by two children, June Leslie (Jack) Hancock and James Leslie (Lorie) Hyatt, Jr., both of Lawrenceburg; brother, Lewis Allen (Sandy) Hyatt, of Frankfort; sisters-in-law, Nancye and Mary Jo Hyatt, both of Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, Tiffany Kay Hyatt (Darrin) Lyons, Simpsonville, Daniel Douglas Hyatt, Lawrenceburg, and Leslie Helburn Hancock, Lexington; and his dog, Cletus. Mr. Hyatt was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Earl Hyatt and Robert L. Hyatt, Jr. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Ehr and Bro. Garrett Franklin officiating.

Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
