James’ Obituary AVA- James Homer Smith, 64, of Ava, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at his home in Ava. James was born in Pekin, Illinois, on November 28, 1954, the son of William Eugene, Sr. and Joyce Hindman Smith. He was a Journeyman Plasterer.

James is survived by his son, Zedekiah James Smith of Peoria, IL; his mother, Joyce A. Smith of Ava; his sister, Linda A. Smith of Ava; and several nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his Father, William E. Smith, Sr. and his brother, William E. Smith, Jr.James wishes were to be cremated. Burial will be at Crain Cemetery, Ava, at a later date.

Wilson’s Funeral Home, Ava, is assisting the family.
