Mr. James Richard “Gaza” Buffy, 86, of Wayne Blvd. , Alum Bank, died Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Mr. Buffy was born in Central City on August 18, 1931, the son of the late John and Anna (Haydu) Buffy.

On November 27, 1963, he married Shirley L. (Foltz) Buffy. In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Dennis J. husband of Sheila Buffy, Mora, MN; Daughter- Patricia A. wife of Don Gisbrecht, Boswell; Son- James R. husband of Tina Buffy, Central City. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Jamie, Marie, Jimmy, Jackie, Chuckie, Jennifer, Aaron, Kristie and Nicole, a number of great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by four siblings. Mr. Buffy served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a wonderful husband, a loving father, a devoted grandfather and a loyal friend.

He will be greatly missed. Private Services for Mr. Buffy will be held. Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery Schellsburg, PA.
