Obituary for James Robert Short James Robert Short, 78, of Anderson, passed away on April 15, 2018 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson. He was born on July 14, 1939 in Monterey, Tennessee and resided most of his life in Anderson. He served his country in the United States Air Force.

He retired from Pendleton Reformatory. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruby Short; children, Jim Short, Cindy (Drake) Stapleton, J.R. (Kathleen) Short, George (Beth) Short, Dan (Anita) Short, Debi Short, James W. Short, LeeAnn (Angie) Fitzpatrick, Denise (Roger) Short, and Chris Short; and 30 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Joyce (Buddy) Patterson, Glenda (Jim) Gerard, and Lonnie (Barbara) Short; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Margie Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his father, George H. Short; mother, Ila Mae Tucker; siblings, Golda M. Thompson, Lena Lindsey, Brenda Short, Thomas Short, Jack Tucker, and Melvin Short. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. www.
