James Samuel Whitehead, Sr., age 79, of Reidsville, NC, passed away on July 8, 2018, at his home. He was born on December 20, 1938, to the late James Arthur Whitehead and Hazel Irving Whitehead. Mr. Whitehead is survived by his daughter, Elisabeth Whitehead; a son and daughter-in-law, James Samuel Whitehead, Jr. and wife, Monica Linnerud; two grandchildren, Teodor and Markus; and a sister, Norma Glenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Arthur Whitehead and Hazel Irving Whitehead. There will be no formal services. Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain (www.
