Obituary for James W. Haddock James W. Haddock, born July 17, 1937, in Greenville, NC, entered into the presence of his Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2018. The service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, May 1, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bible Presbyterian Church, 6237 Rumple Road, Charlotte, NC 28262. Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 a.m. Mr. Haddock, known by his CB handle “Fish,” drove for Thurston Motor Lines (1963-1967); Carolina Freight (1967-1995); ABF (1995 till his retirement in 2000).

He was active at his church for over 50 years, serving in many capacities. He also was the sound man for the bluegrass group Toby Creek. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean Lewis Haddock; children Teresa Larkin (Daniel), Sheila Gsell (Brad), and Daphne Ramos (fiancé Thaddeus Arnold); sibling Leon Haddock, Jr., Roland Haddock, Helen Daniel and Ellen Watkins; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Miriam Haddock, sister Mary Clark, and sons John Carson Haddock and James Randall Haddock.
