Obituary of James Grubb James Edward “Sonny” Grubb, age 72, of Wytheville, passed away September 20, 2018. He was born July 31, 1946 to the late James Aulbert & Maude H. Grubb. Sonny was preceded in death by his granddaughter Kathrine Marie Grubb and survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara McGee Grubb; sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney & Melissa Grubb and James “Darren” and Missy A. Grubb both of Wytheville; daughters, Jennifer D. Peters of Wytheville, Sheila Gregory; grandchildren, Christal Clarke, Jeffery Grubb, Katie Peters & Stephanie Dean, Kelsie Peters & Jesse Sims, Leann Peters, Brittany Gregory, Amber Gregory and 5 great grandchildren ; sisters, Mildred Church, Nancy Hall , Jenny Thomas and family; many other friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held 2 P.M. Saturday at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church conducted by The Reverend Aubrey Whitlow. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.
