Jane Yahraus February 25, 1922 – March 17, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Jane Yahraus passed away on March 17, 2019 in Walla Walla at the age of 97 years. Jane Yahraus, a retired clerical and sales clerk, was born on February 25, 1922 in Lewiston, Idaho. She was a child of Clark and Clara Zurnstein Miller.

She attended grade school and high school in Lewiston graduating from Lewiston High School in 1941. She married William L Roy in Vancouver, Washington in 1941. They had two sons, Steven Roy and William L Roy, Jr. and later divorced.

In 1951 while living in Lewiston she married Fred A. Yahraus, Jr. and moved to Clarkston where a son, Keith D. Yahraus, was born in 1952. Fred died in 1971. Jane worked for her older brother, Paul Miller at Miller Brothers Plumbing and Heating for 30 years and retired in 1985.

Later she worked as a sales clerk and also as a house director for sororities at both Washington State University and the University of Idaho. She also worked as a demonstration hostess of Costco until failing eyesight forced her to retire. She enjoyed out-of-door activities such as fishing, camping, golfing and working in her garden while living in the Clarkston Heights.

Jane was a lifetime member of as well as past worthy matron of the Vineland Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Also, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarkston. She is survived by two sons, Steve and Annette Roy of Walla Walla, WA and Keith and Lynn Yahraus of Great Falls, Montana.

Also surviving her are three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by a son, William L. Roy Jr. A graveside will be held at a later date.
