The family will greet friends on Saturday, January 26, 2019 starting at 2:00 pm until 4:00pm at 2791 Sardis Church Road Moultrie, Georgia 31788. Born on June 23, 1935, in Antigo, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Fred Herman Kalkofen & Clara Elizabeth Pitts Kalkofen.

She was a retired school teacher and was of the Lutheran/Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Max Gay; brothers, Fred Kalkofen, Lloyd Kalkofen, and Leon Kalkofen; and a sister, Bernice Vavruska. She is survived by her daughters, Perri Adams of Moultrie, and Elizabeth Rick of Moultrie; granddaughter, Averi Adams; honorary grandchildren, Michelle Sparks, Randi Deal, Cheyne Starky, Katie Sparks, and Alex Sparks; and her girl scout grandchildren; brother, Robert Kalkofen and wife Shirley of Missouri, and Gerald Kalkofen and wife Hazel of Wisconsin.
