OBITUARY Janet L. Heger March 19, 1934 – July 22, 2018 HEGER, Janet L.- Age 84, of Scituate, passed away July 22, 2018. She was the loving wife of 51 years to the late Paul F. Heger. Daughter of the late Alfred and Josephine Woods.

Cherished mother to Susan Chessia, her husband Thomas of Scituate, Nancy Fagan, her husband Chick of Scituate and Michael Heger, his wife Susan of Scituate. Loving grandmother to Alexis, Richard, Chick, Craig, Sydney and Maya. Beloved great-grandmother to Ally, Finn, Harrison, Charlotte, Cecilia and Olivia.

Janet may have been small in stature but her personality & contagious laugh were larger than life to all who knew her. Affectionately referred to as “Ma” by family and friends, Janet truly embodied the role of matriarch. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Janet will be remembered by many. Whether she will be remembered for being a signature birthday stop at the St. Patrick’s Day parade, for her sweet smile beaming from the window of Dunkin Donuts in Scituate Harbor, or being a friend to all. Ma’s spirit & love will shine as bright as Minot’s Light.

1-4-3 A funeral Mass will be held on Friday August 3, 2018 at 10:00am from St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate. Words of comfort can be left at www.
