Billleaves behind his daughter Lynn I. Bogle of Wellesley, her husband John C. Bogle, Jr. grandchildren John C. Bogle III and Blair A. Bogle and also his son William J. Iaconelli of Hingham and his wife Angela Goossen. In addition, he leaves his beloved sister and brother-in-law, Desiree and Robert Jones of Longwood, FL, his brother, Robert Iaconelli of Boston, and his best friend of 70 years, Harry Chopelas and his wife Daisy of Rockport, TX.

Bill was pre-deceased by the love of his life and devoted wife of over 50 years, Ann (MacIntyre), formerly of Malden, MA. He passed peacefully with his son and daughter at his side. Bill was a graduate of Malden High, Class of 1950.

After High School, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Navy and specialized in Navigation. He attended Newman Prep and Northeastern University in Boston under the G.I. Bill. At Northeastern, he earned a degree in Chemical Engineering, while also working as a waiter at nearby Café Amalfi.

Bill was hired by Ionics, Incorporated in Watertown, MA where he worked until his retirement at age 65. Ionics sent Bill all over the world beginning as a Field Engineer and ending his career as a Senior Vice President & Head of Separations Technology. A highly respected member of the New England Business Community, Bill spoke to many about ‘The Luxury of Integrity,’ articulating the need for businesses to operate honestly and ethically, principles under which he truly led by example. As accomplished as he was professionally, Bill had many interests he pursued with passion. Those who were fortunate enough to enjoy a meal prepared by ‘Mr. Ike’ will likely never forget it.

He shared his home-grown vegetables and catches from fishing and lobstering with his many friends. He and Ann filled their home with family, friends, and music; Bill, sitting beside Ann as she played piano, singing with gusto and always with a bright smile. But the place he was happiest was on the water, and you would have to be up before dawn to see Bill as he steered his boat out of Scituate Harbor.

Bill dealt with Alzheimer’s Disease as he did everything in his life, with grace, dignity and humor. His family is grateful for the kindness shown him by so many during his illness and thank in particular those at Bridges by Epoch in Hingham, North River Home Care, and Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of MA for the incredible care he received during his battle. The burial at Cudworth Cemetery in Scituate will be private.
